About the Memoir:
All That's Left is a Memory

This memoir is inspired by both the memories that we hold dear and the ones that we wish to forget. I created this with reference to my own memory. My memory is very poor and I struggle to remember even the little things, yet I can remember things I truly wish to forget as if they were yesterday. A memory is often all we have left of an experience, nothing more, nothing less, which can be good or bad. Time is a memory's biggest nemesis, because in time memories slowly fade. We can sense them fading too, we lose bits and pieces until the memory becomes less and less defined. As time goes by we feel powerless to stop the memory from slipping from our grasp or to get it out of our heads. Memories either fading or staying are the curse we experience as humans, as our brains decide what will help us survive and what will not.
